Marlon_jennifer Jennifer Marlon, Ph.D., is an Associate Research Scientist at Yale's School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. She obtained her Ph.D. and M.S. in Geography from the University of Oregon.

Dr.Marlon studies past environments using sediment records, ice cores, tree rings, and other natural archives. She specializes in reconstructing fire history from charcoal and soot accumulations to understand how climate changes affect biomass burning. Recently, she has also begun to study people's perceptions and responses to climate change and extreme weather.
