Join an educational program that is fun for all—young explorers as well as adults—who enjoy hiking and learning about wildlife, tropical forests and marine life in the company of expert Yale faculty as well as local naturalist guides. This tour features two distinct locations: the famed Monteverde Cloud Forest in the Tilarán Mountains and the scenic Pacific Coast of Guanacaste. You will visit a butterfly garden, travel on a floating safari down a tropical river looking for monkeys and crocodiles, enjoy a coffee farm tour, walk on suspended bridges above the rainforest canopy, wonder at the immense crater of Poás Volcano, cruise the ocean in a catamaran, snorkel in the Pacific Ocean and ride horses at a Hacienda. In the Pacific region our lovely hotel is located next to Playa Panamá with bay views and a huge swimming pool. From here we will explore the El Viejo Wet Lands and the surrounding marine life. Share the marvels of seeing this exotic region with your children or grandchildren, while they practice their Spanish and learn about the tropical bird and wildlife.
