Picture yourself leisurely cruising aboard a river boat, exploring fascinating ports aboard a deluxe ship or private yacht, or experiencing the old world glamour of a luxury train. Quality is paramount for us and we strive to use the very best (or best available in remote areas) on Yale Educational Travel programs.
On 10th October 2015, the Santa Cruz II took up the baton from its legendary prodecessor, M/V Santa Cruz, and brought with it a chic new way to explore the wonders of the Galapagos Islands in style and comfort. On top of Metropolitan Touring?s unrivalled expeditions, this ship guarantees that the utmost care will be given to the Galapagos Islands by implementing the newest sustainable advances in sailing, thus protecting their delicate ecosystem. With five spacious desks and gorgeous chic interiors designed by the distinguished ship designer, Richard Nilsson, the Santa Cruz II offers tours that are better than ever. Based on the principle of stylish simplicity, our new vessel guarantees its guests a luxurious ambience from which they can appreciate the breath-taking views of the enchanted islands. The three decks of Santa Cruz II host 90 guests throughout 50 modern cabins. Guests may choose from a variety of options, which include single, double and family cabins. However, if they desire something more lavish, we also offer the exclusive Darwin Suites, which meet an exceptional standard of accommodation on the boat?s Panorama Deck. These suites provide guests with enhanced service, as well as particularly selected details such as a take-home Galapagos coffee table book and a tablet loan for each cabin. When they are not exploring the islands? treasures, guests can kick back in the elegantly designed communal spaces or viewing platforms. These include indoor and outdoor dining, a lounge bar, complete library, two sumptuous hot tubs overlooking the ocean and a gym.
The SEA CLOUD, our legendary windjammer, is a dream come true. This vessel is both a private home and a truly glamorous experience beneath white sails. Everything that the SEA CLOUD ever was and had can still be experienced today. Every walk around its decks will fill you with the unique charm which this great windjammer exudes. Each step is an encounter with the glamour of a bygone age. You will feel that the SEA CLOUD's charm is an authentic one, imbued with a delightful air of nostalgia and an ever-surprising timelessness. The elegance of times gone by has been faithfully restored - be it on the bridge or in the blue lagoon, on the promenade deck or in the restaurant. All the impressive marble fireplaces, the charming teak wood benches, the elegant woods, the golden taps and the selected antiques on board the SEA CLOUD have created an atmospheric setting in which her passengers - with all their modern-day requirements and attitudes to life - can sit back and enjoy their voyage on board a majestic windjammer. All the cabins on board the SEA CLOUD have their own, unique charm. If you want a stylishly elegant, cosy and modern cabin, then your best option would be one of the 18 outer cabins on the lido or promenade decks; these modern cabins have been seamlessly integrated into the ship. Perhaps the most maritime cabins are the four former officers' cabins, which have been carefully restored. These cabins feature a pair of bunks and a door which leads straight out onto the covered section of the promenade deck. On the main deck you will find the remarkable original cabins. Among these are the two famous suites which were once occupied by the ship's owners. No matter which cabin you choose, the cabin service will provide everything you need. Your pretty maritime home is tidied twice a day, the fruit bowl is refilled, and the daily program is left out for you to read (not to mention all the extra little touches...).

The SEA CLOUD II has its own, very unique character. It combines the high standards expected of a modern cruise ship with the unique atmosphere of a romantic tall ship. A windjammer gives you that feeling of boundless freedom - a feeling that reaches its pinnacle as you sail the seas under open skies. But this is a feeling that pervades the SEA CLOUD II at all times, manifested in the on-board lifestyle and forged by the expansive space of the four decks, the relaxed social atmosphere and the space for private contemplation. The lounge, the library, the restaurant, the cabins and the gym are all imbued with stylish comfort. Every area has its own way of enticing visitors, so you will still discover new favorite places even after days. The decks of the SEA CLOUD II are therefore an ideal place to transform any journey into a very special experience - for couples, groups of friends, anniversary parties or larger events. Privately tucked away on the lido deck, the two owner suites feature panoramic windows. The promenade deck holds 16 junior suites and two deluxe outer cabins which also have panoramic windows. Exuding a more maritime appeal, the 27 deluxe outer cabins on the cabin deck have traditional portholes. Three of these cabins are fitted with an upper and lower bunk - as was customary on traditional windjammers. And, of course, all the cabins have small sitting areas, a bright ambience, brightly colored, spacious marble baths and plenty of space for all your personal belongings. No matter which cabin you choose, the cabin service will provide everything you need. Your pretty maritime home is tidied twice a day, the fruit bowl is refilled, and the daily programme is left out for you to read (not to mention all the extra little touches...).
